1st Beaumaris Sea Scouts is a fun and friendly group, where boys and girls aged 5-25 in the Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout and Rover Scout Sections can enjoy an amazing range of activities. We meet at our hall on Bodley St, but being close to the bay means that we are able to conduct a wide range of water activities from our boat shed on the beach front of Beaumaris. We also love to take part in hiking, orienteering and camping trips, just as other Scout groups would. We are affiliated to Scouts Victoria and part of the largest youth organisation in the world.
All our sections hold weekly meetings with safe and exciting activities designed for fun and friendship as well as skill development. As well as major group family camps every year, we also participate in all state and national events such as Kangaree, Cuboree, Jamboree, Venture and more.
Young boys and girls can progress through all five sections below or can start in any section depending on their ages. We also welcome adult volunteer Scout Leaders, or parent helpers! Scouts has opportunities for the whole family to be involved.
Our Scout Leaders are energetic, enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy making a positive difference to young people’s lives. All leaders must complete a basic training course and ensure that their training remains current. The Scout Association aims to provide all leaders with development opportunities so that they are able to operate effectively within their appointed role. All leaders at 1st Beaumaris Sea Scouts are required to provide a mandatory Police check and a Working With Children Check to provide references as part of their leader application.
